The parent must provide Blessed Lil One's with updated medical information regarding his or her child, such as information regarding the child's medical problems, immunizations, allergies, regular medications, physical and or mental handicaps, or restrictions on the child's physical activities. Information should also be provided as to whether the child has had any physical, emotional or mentally disabilities or limitations, previous surgeries, covid, flu or any other contagious disease. This information should be provided to Blessed Lil One's prior to the child's first day of care, failure to advise staff or management at Blessed Lil One’s will result in immediate termination from our program.

Blessed Lil One's will not administer any medication to any child.

ILLNESS POLICY

We value your children’s health, your personal home as well as the health of the staff, therefore together we strive to ensure a healthy and well-being environment for everyone.

Blessed Lil One’s will not accept any child with:

  • a fever above 98.6
  • diarrhea
  • vomiting
  • unusual rash
  • chronic cough
  • lethargic
  • any infectious
  • contagious condition
  • discharge from ears or eyes
  • green and yellow mucus drainage
  • difficulty breathing
  • hives or allergic reactions
  • open severe cuts or wounds
  • lice or parasitic conditions
  • simply not feeling well

Any child with these conditions or any surgical procedure must have a doctor note stating your child is clear to return to school. Any medicine required to treat above symptoms will mean the child is too ill to attend daycare. Example of medicine: Motrin, Tempera, Tylenol, antibiotic, prescription creams or gel, etc. The final decision as to whether a child will be admitted to the childcare facility will be made in the sole discretion of the provider.

If a child becomes sick at daycare the parent or authorized person will be called and asked to pick up the child. If necessary, the staff will isolate the child from the other children and make him/her as comfortable as possible but will not administer medication. If a child has fever, diarrhea and or vomiting that child must quarantine a minimum of 48 hours with no further symptoms and without medicinal aid, (i.e Motrin, Excedrin, etc).

Blessed Lil One's will promptly publicly post contagious diseases when the provider has knowledge that a child may have been exposed while at the childcare facility. If a child has been diagnosed with an infectious condition Blessed Lil Ones requires a 5-7 day minimum quarantine before returning back to childcare with a doctor statement – no exceptions.

The parent is expected to inform Blessed Lil One's of any illness or problem of a child that might affect other children and staff at the childcare facility, failure to advise staff or management of any known sickness or health condition will result in termination from the childcare facility.

Toilet Training

Blessed Lil One's will assist with toilet training. However, the parent should first initiate and consistently continue the training at home. When training has started, the parent must supply training pants, pull-ups, wipes or underwear.

Once your child is completely potty trained, the fee will decrease to the current potty-trained rate unless an incentive discount has already been applied.

Diapers are checked on a regular basis and changed whenever reasonably necessary. After the diaper is changed, the diaper-changing area will be sterilized, and the provider's hands and the child’s hands will be washed.
